Cycle tourism in Canavese: lakes, hills, villages and castles
Four days of cycling tourism by E-bike or Gravel bike to discover one of the lesser-known corners of Piedmont: the Canavese!A circular tour suitable for everyone, which will allow an authentic immersion in the traditions and culture of the area, as well as visits to the main UNESCO sites and the most interesting natural and landscape areas. You will have the opportunity to visit in a sustainable way an area of Piedmont which is still virgin from the point of view of tourism, authentic and characterized by a very varied landscape: between plains, lakes, hills, imposing mountains, the landscape will never tire you !
Starting from Viverone we will go up the territory of the morainic amphitheater of Ivrea, which with a surface area of more than 500 km² is one of the best preserved geomorphological units of this type in the world.
We will skirt lakes that are memories of ancient glaciers such as the 5 lakes of Ivrea, Lake Viverone and Candia, we will visit the city of Ivrea, known throughout the world for the Orange Carnival, and we will slowly cross picturesque villages such as Torre Canavese, Agliè ‘ with its Castle, Candia and Masino, as well as the Time of Humanity of Damanhur, the largest underground temple in the world.
But it doesn’t end here! During the tour we will have the opportunity to visit the most important cellars, to taste the main wines of the area and immerse ourselves in the thousand-year-old food and wine culture of the Canavese.
Throughout the cycling tour you will be accompanied by local guides with fluent English and with all the necessary logistics, so that you can concentrate only on the view and on cycling in harmony with nature.
For each overnight stay we have selected the best eco-compatible structures present, and for all meals the best restaurateurs who offer local KM0 products.
Depending on the period of the tour, you will be able to witness or directly participate in experiences such as the grape harvest, transhumance or honey harvesting, to immerse yourself further in local culture and folklore.
What are you waiting for to book your cycling tour in the unknown Canavese?
