Discover the Beauty of Gran Paradiso National Park by E-bike

#hashtag: e-bike gran paradiso, e-bike Piemonte The Gran Paradiso National Park is one of the most fascinating destinations in the Alps, famous for its breathtaking peaks, untouched and pristine natural landscapes, and its rich and varied wildlife. Despite the park being primarily located in high mountain territory (above 1500m asl), there are many summer itineraries to explore by e-bike, allowing you to reach 3100m pedaling in a unique environment and descending fun trails with over 1000m of elevation loss! This one-day proposal starts from Ceresole Reale and will allow you to discover these magnificent and isolated places on an e-bike (included in the package), through a loop that would take several days on foot.

Itinerary of the E-bike Tour in Gran Paradiso Park

Starting from Ceresole Reale, we will climb on asphalt towards Colle del Nivolet (some sections can be avoided by taking the old royal road), following the route of the 2019 Giro d’Italia stage. We will reach Lake Serrù and then Lake Agnel, where photo stops are mandatory given the magnificent scenery that unfolds before our eyes. We continue on asphalt almost to Colle del Nivolet, and at about 2400m we will leave the road to begin our adventure in the truly wild side of the park. Pedaling gently along glacial lakes, we climb up to Colle della Terra (2800m), where the slopes increase, requiring some portage. Once we reach Colle della Terra, an incredible view of Lake Lillet rewards our eyes, and from here we start the first technical descent that takes us to the shore of this beautiful and hidden natural basin. We continue to climb on a mule track with some non-cyclable sections until we reach Colle della Porta (2857m). We are now almost at 3000m, the south face of Gran Etret greets us imposingly, and in front of us, the Roc valley opens up, one of the most isolated and unspoiled in all the Alps, surrounded on the right by the imposing Monte Courmaoun, where high-level alpine routes were discovered and climbed by Gervasutti at the beginning of the century. Now begins a descent of 800m of elevation loss, which among mule tracks, snowfields, and single track will test even the most experienced biker. We may cross snowfields depending on the snow cover, pedal through meadows dotted with lakes, and photograph waterfalls cascading down vertical walls, in a corner of Paradise where ibex and chamois graze and run in the utmost peace. With one last short climb, we reach Colle Sià, the last pass of our tour, and now awaits the best and smoothest descent of the day, which quickly takes us back to Ceresole Reale, closing our Paradise loop.
