Ski Mountaineering in Vialattea Piedmont Val di Susa Turin
A stone’s throw from the Vialattea ski area there are uncontaminated and wild valleys which are dressed in white during the winter season. Slopes perfect for skiing, landscapes to be experienced at 360° both uphill and downhill.During the itinerary we will encounter historic villages where mountain life has never stopped, pine and larch forests, frozen lakes and the lunar landscape which, once out of the forest, characterizes this mountain area, so much so that it is known as Mountains of the Moon.
The day develops as follows: meeting at the meeting point in Cesana Torinese. Short briefing on the trip chosen by the guides based on the snow and weather conditions and the abilities declared by the participants.
Short trip by car to the car park where the trip will start.
It will be the guide’s responsibility to check the participants’ equipment before starting the trip, including the avalanche self-rescue kit. During the climb, the conditions of the snow cover will be evaluated together with the participants, in order to enrich the activity with useful and valuable information. The same will apply to the climbing technique and the off-piste descent technique.
The proposed trips extend for approximately 8-12 km, with a maximum positive difference in altitude of approximately 1000m.
The itinerary described may be modified based on snow and safety conditions.
The lunch will be packed, the ski instructor will take care to bring a mountain snack (included in the price) to be consumed during the activity.
At the request of the participants, at the end of the trip there will also be the opportunity to taste typical local products, allowing themselves a pleasant third time to end the day in the best possible way.
You will be accompanied by an expert ski instructor, specialized in ski mountaineering and freeriding, associated with Chaberton Outdoor Activities: an association that aims to enhance the territory of Alta Val Susa by offering a vast range of recreational, recreational and sporting activities and l education and public awareness of respect for the mountains and sustainable and safe use of the mountain environment.
This package was designed for those who love nature and adventure, outside of industrial and mass tourism, in a rare and intact environmental and landscape context.
