Excursion along the Via Francigena Eporediese the 5 lakes and the city of Ivrea
Location: Ivrea (TO)
Guide language: IT, EN
★★★★★ 0.0/5
In this 3-day hiking or cycling tour we will explore some of the most beautiful areas of the entire Canavese area: the Five Lakes of Ivrea with the famous Land Dancers (of notable geological interest, naturalistic and wildlife, which offer the possibility of carrying out outdoor activities and enjoying extraordinary views.); the city of Ivrea, known throughout the world for its Carnival of Oranges, for the Olivetti (the 20th century industrial city is a UNESCO heritage site) and for the Stadium of Canoe (a river sports facility that hosted the canoe/kayak world championships); the Via Francigena Eporediese (itinerary that offers hilly landscapes, castles and other treasures, making it attractive for hiking and pilgrimage enthusiasts).
We will stay overnight at an accessible B&B in Settimo Vittone, which is located a few meters from the Via Francigena and offers an incredible view over the entire Ivrea area, the moraine greenhouse and the 5 lakes. Here you can enjoy a typical KM0 breakfast with local products. The dinners will take place at an osteria in Settimo Vittone, at a restaurant in Ivrea, also characterized by typical local menus. Lunches will be packed.
For visitors with food intolerances (e.g. gluten), local “gluten free” menus will be available (upon reservation) thanks to our suppliers.
As far as possible, we choose eco-friendly accommodation facilities and restaurateurs who offer local, organic and KM0 products
We try as much as possible to avoid the use of motor vehicles as much as possible We choose suppliers who have the same vision as us, in terms of sustainability and accessibility
The tour is ideal for all seasons of the year, with the exception of the coldest months (from November to February included)
