E-bike Tour in Gran Paradiso National Park

The Gran Paradiso National Park is one of the most captivating destinations in all of the Alps, renowned for its breathtaking peaks, pristine natural landscapes, and rich and varied wildlife. Despite the park being predominantly high-mountain territory (above 1500m above sea level), there are many summer itineraries to explore on e-bikes, allowing you to reach over 2800m while pedaling through unique environments and descending on fun and smooth trails!

Our Proposal

This 1-day proposal starts from Ceresole Reale, suitable for everyone, and allows you to discover magnificent and isolated glacial lakes riding an e-bike (included in the package).

The Route

Starting from Ceresole Reale, we’ll ascend on asphalt towards Colle del Nivolet (some sections can be avoided by taking the old Royal Road), following the route of the 2019 Giro d’Italia stage. We’ll arrive at Lake Serrù and then Lake Agnel, where mandatory photo stops will be taken due to the magnificent scenery that unfolds before our eyes. We continue on asphalt to Colle del Nivolet, then descend into the valley below, where we’ll leave the road to begin our visit to the splendid characteristic lakes of this area. Starting from the lakes of Nivolet, passing through Lake Leità and the beautiful Lake Rosset with its characteristic hat-shaped islet, the landscape will be breathtaking, with continuous views of Gran Paradiso and the surrounding peaks reaching nearly 4000m in height.

Guides and Logistics

Throughout the journey, you will be accompanied by qualified guides (fluent in English), but if you prefer, the tour is also available in self-guide mode. The tour is suitable for bikers of all ages and levels, accustomed to half-day cycling. Technical Specifications:

This e-bike tour is suitable for everyone, with a minimum level of cycling experience. Daily distances can be up to 50 km, with opportunities for breaks and refreshments. The maximum positive difference in altitude is approximately 800m. However, it is possible to customize the tour stops based on the skill level of the participants. For more experienced cyclists, the tour is also available with gravel bikes. Contact us if you are interested, and we will provide you with a personalized quote. Distances in elevation and kilometers are approximate and may vary depending on local conditions, resulting in slight variations compared to what is indicated in the route description.

Accommodation and Meals:

For a low-impact sustainable tour, we offer B&Bs and hotels that favor sustainable and eco-friendly practices as default accommodation options. All breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included and feature local, zero-mile cuisine. Any meals not mentioned in the description of the various stops are not included in the tour package. Each meal includes 1 liter of beer/wine/water or soft drinks.
We have selected the best accommodations and restaurants along the route. For a more advantageous offer contact us, we will provide you with a quote with lower level overnight stays.
Tickets for visits to the castles and the temple of Damanhur are included

From the Torino Lingotto, Porta Nuova or Porta Susa railway stations, take the Canavesana railway line towards Rivarolo Canavese.
At Rivarolo, get off and take the bus to Ceresole Reale.

From Turin-Caselle airport, take the train to Torino Dora station.
At Torino Dora, take the Canavesana railway line towards Rivarolo Canavese.
At Rivarolo, get off and take the bus to Ceresole Reale.

From Milan:
From Milano Centrale station, take the train towards Torino Porta Nuova.
From Porta Nuova station, take the Canavesana railway line towards Rivarolo Canavese.
At Rivarolo, get off and take the bus to Ceresole Reale.

From Milan Malpensa Airport, take the Malpensa Express train to Milano Centrale station.
At Milano Centrale, take a train to Torino Porta Nuova.
At Torino Porta Nuova, get off, change trains and take the Canavesana railway line towards Rivarolo Canavese.
Get off at Rivarolo Canavese station and take the bus to Ceresole Reale.

Alternatively, by bus:
From Milan Malpensa Airport, take the SADEM bus to Torino Porta Susa station.
From Porta Susa station, take the Canavesana railway line towards Rivarolo Canavese.

By car from Turin:
Drive towards the northern ring road of Turin, take the Caselle exit and follow the Turin-Caselle highway. Take the third exit towards Rivarolo/Parco Gran Paradiso (SS460) and follow it to Ceresole Reale.

By car from Milan:
Take the A4 motorway towards Turin, exit at Santhià towards Ivrea/Aosta (E25), and in Ivrea exit again and follow the signs for Ceresole Reale/Parco Gran Paradiso.

Meeting in the morning at Ceresole Reale (1600m) with cycling tour guides
Briefing, e-bike delivery and adjustment, departure on asphalt towards Colle del Nivolet
We ascend to Lakes Serru' and Agnel, stop for customary photos
We continue ascending on asphalt to Colle del Nivolet (2600m)
At the pass, stop for photos and a snack break
We descend briefly into the plain below, leaving the asphalt and starting to climb on dirt track
After some short ramps, the first small lakes start to appear
We briefly reach Lake Leita' and the beautiful Lake Rosset, characterized by a hat-shaped islet accessible on foot
Picnic lunch and relaxation time
Start of the descent towards Colle del Nivolet on single-track
Descent towards Ceresole Reale (possible via asphalt or trail)
Arrival at Ceresole Reale and end of the tour
