- At an altitude of 1850m, we leave the asphalt road to descend into the Carro Valley
- We ascend the valley on a dirt trail until reaching Alpe Cernera (2330m)
- Lunch break and relaxation
- Start of the descent on single track, with an initial section through alpine meadows, then through pristine pine forests that will take us to the banks of the Orco stream
- We continue on the single track along the right side of the Orco stream until reaching the Chiapili di Sotto hamlet
- From here, we reach Rifugio Muzio, where we will have dinner and spend the night
- It is possible to include the Ceresole Reale lake loop in the tour, adding approximately 10 km and 150m of elevation to the planned route
Distance: 25 km (including the lake loop)
Positive elevation gain D+: 800m
Negative elevation loss D-: 800m
Total time: Approximately 4-5 hours
- Wake up and breakfast, meeting with the guides and departure on asphalt towards Colle del Nivolet (some sections can be avoided thanks to the old Reale road)
- We will follow the stage of the Giro d'Italia 2019 until Lago Serru' (2300m), then continue towards Lago Agnel, where we can stop and enjoy a stunning alpine panorama
- We continue on asphalt until we reach the legendary Colle del Nivolet, where we will stop for the customary photos
- With a short descent, we reach the plain of Nivolet, where we leave the road and take an easy single track that takes us along the beautiful lakes of Nivolet, Rosset (with its characteristic hat-shaped islet) and Leita'; the place is so incredible that photo stops will be a must
- Soon, the landscape changes, and from green meadows, we transition to a unique reddish terrain that is characteristic of this area, almost lunar, due to the retreat of glaciers that until a few decades ago dominated this territory
- We finally reach Colle Leynir (3084m), where we will have a packed lunch and enjoy an incredible panorama that stretches from Gran Paradiso to Mont Blanc
- We change our setup and begin a fantastic and smooth descent among crystal-clear lakes and alpine meadows, which will quickly bring us back to Nivolet, where we will have dinner and spend the night in available refuges (Rif. Chivasso or Savoia)
Distance: 25 km
Positive elevation gain D+: 1600m
Negative elevation loss D-: 700m
Total time: Approximately 5-6 hours
- Wake up and breakfast, departure directly from the plain of Nivolet towards Valle d'Aosta on a dirt road
- We continue on a slight incline until we reach the Meyes valley, and then pedal along gentle slopes in the middle of the hillside until we reach the steep final hairpin bends, with the imposing figure of Gran Paradiso dominating the view along with the glacial lakes that dot the Nivolet plateau
- Soon, we finally reach Colle Manteau (2790m), where we will stop and have a packed lunch
- From here, we change our setup and quickly ride our wheels back on the easy single track, which will soon bring us back to the plain of Nivolet
- We briefly climb back to the pass to tackle the final descent, which we propose to do using the old Reale road that connects Nivolet to Ceresole Reale; alternatively, we can use the asphalt road that we ascended the previous day
- Once we reach Ceresole, we will return the e-bikes and conclude our tour
Distance: 33 km
Positive elevation gain D+: 700m
Negative elevation loss D-: 1600m
Total time: Approximately 4-5 hours
