Excursion to the frozen lakes of Gran Paradiso Piemonte Canavese
#hashtag: Gran Paradiso excursion – Frozen lakes excursion – Piedmont Canavese excursionCome and discover the hidden treasures of the Gran Paradiso Park with our multi-day trek to discover the four largest glacial lakes in the area. Lake Teleccio, Lake Valsoera, Lake Motta and the very remote Lake Gelato.
The first 2 lakes are artificial, created from pre-existing natural lakes of glacial origin through the construction of imposing dams for the exploitation of the water for hydroelectric purposes. The others are natural, and are pearls of rare beauty.
The excursion to the frozen lakes of the Gran Paradiso Piemonte Canavese starts from the Orco valley and ends in Val Soana, reaching an altitude of 3000m, in the most authentic and remote heart of the oldest Italian park.
During this adventure, we will take you along steep alpine paths that will lead you to discover breathtaking panoramas and spectacular views of the lakes of Teleccio, Valsoera, lake Motta and lake Gelato. Let yourself be fascinated by the beauty of the glacial landscapes, the imposing peaks and the wildlife you will encounter along the way.
Overnight stays in alpine refuges and bivouacs, including the Revelli bivouac, among the most remote in the Alps, for a truly unique and wilderness experience.
Our team of expert guides will accompany you on this adventure, ensuring your safety and offering you an unforgettable experience.
Don’t miss the opportunity to discover the wild and uncontaminated nature of the Gran Paradiso Park, book your trek with us today!”
Possibility of tailor-made modifications to the trekking weekend program in Gran Paradiso, including other outdoor activities or visits. Possibility of reducing the tour into 3 days, combining the first 2 stages.

Technical characteristics:
Participants must be able to deal with height differences of at least +1500m and distances of approximately 15km, on various types of terrain (earthy, stony, rocky, wooded). The route may have some exposed or aided easy sections that do not require special equipment or technical skills, but are not recommended for those who suffer from severe vertigo or have unsteady pace. Upon request, the trekking program can be customized according to your skill level.
Accommodation and Meals:
To fully immerse our guests in the Alpine climate and mountain environment, our default accommodation is in Alpine huts (with single rooms where available). However, if you prefer accommodation with higher levels of comfort, do not hesitate to contact us for a tailor-made offer! We will find the most suitable solution for you! Some tours may include overnight stays in Alpine bivouacs, which offer no comforts except mattresses and blankets. They are unique experiences, but you need to be adaptable.
All dinners and breakfasts are included and available directly at the refuge or bivouac. Lunches are also included and will be packed. Other meals not mentioned in the description of the various stages are not included in the fee.
